Went here tonight with some friends after work. I have wanted to go here for 5 years. Yes, the clientele and the bar has seen some better days but no one messed with us. The bar itself has been recently repainted and the decor can best be described as contemporary inner city. A couple of gentlemen made us feel quite welcome and I have never felt such gratitude from anyone I have ever bought a beer for before. They have a pretty good karaoke system and I didn't have to wait long to sing. The crowd was appreciative of my version of "Midnight Special" and I had fun singing to them. It is definitely an older crowd of well worn humans but the beer is cold, the bartender is friendly and the prices are cheap. I had more fun here than any bar I have been to in the recent past. I will probably return with more friends who were too scared to go the first time. Take a chance.

Like others are saying, this is a special gem. The clientele is from 21-71, and the atmosphere is so welcoming, you'll think you're at a friend's house. Karaoke is their main thing, so if you aren't into that, it might not be your cup of tea.

Larry, the owner, has put a lot of work into this place. If you are looking for a fun dive with some character, this place is for you! Wednesday is ladies night and Thursday is the best karaoke in town. Larry will even heat you up some queso in a crock pot at the front. Natty light on tap and most drinks are under $5. Perfect for any young professional.

This place has pulled a 360 in the last year and a half. Even changed names. From a smoky dive bar with only Natty Light on tap and the best karaoke in town - to a restaurant with great high quality food, reasonable prices and a smoke free environment. Oh and STILL the best karaoke in town extended to Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Lots of great TV's if you need to watch the game. He even installed a great patio for those looking for a drink after work. Did I mention the food was amazing? I've had the chicken fingers and the onion burger. Sampled a friends Better than Sex cake too - fantastic. Oh, and they've expanded the tap to include Shock Top and an occasional COOP. Overall a friendly place - the kind that will remember your name if you go in a few times. Cons: the area is a little sketchy - we've never had a problem with a few friends. The new apartments along Shartel should be flipping things around.

kristi is an amazing bartender and suggested so many awesome drink ideas when i was indecisive about what i wanted to order when i was looking for something different from my usual beer orders. she made some killer cocktails. i was there on christmas for karaoke and i had a blasts. there were some really friendly guys that invited my boyfriend and i to play pool with them and were very forgiving of the fact that i am horrible at pool. the bar is smoke-free except for one tiny room that is designated for smoking. i like that. i hate smoke but i tolerate it at most places t since i like the bar scene.
